The 61st drama of the 2022 Taiga Drama "Kamakura-dono no 13inin," scripted by hit maker Koki Mitani. The story is set against the backdrop of the glamorous Genpei War and the subsequent birth of the Kamakura Shogunate, as men and women play games over the seat of power. The second regent, Hojo Yoshitoki, learned everything he could from Minamoto no Yoritomo and established the samurai world. How did a young man with no ambition rise to the top of the samurai world? A power game unfolds in the new capital of Kamakura. The music is by Evan Cole, an American-born, Japan-based composer who has created numerous film scores, including the anime "Violet Evergarden" and the animated film "Josee, the Tiger and the Fish. The second volume of the soundtrack features a selection of music from the middle part of the story, vividly coloring the ensemble drama that unfolds from the end of the Heian period to the beginning of the Kamakura period. The Daiga Kiko performance will be accompanied by Francesco Tristano, a gifted pianist with a wide repertoire ranging from classical to techno, who will play beautifully and sadly the emotions of this turbulent period.
