On a recent factory visit, we found a delightful combination of advanced robotics and French craftsmanship. Details and metalwork that can only achieved by artisan makers are cherished skills. Any Tolix purchase is insuring the life of this factory which has been in constant operation since 1927.

The Tolix set-up assures top-quality craftsmanship, paint finishes and a continuation of the original designs. Remember, each piece is made by hand to order. It therefore has an order lead time to reflect the production process and transportation to our Dyke & Dean logistics in the UK.

The history of the T37 chair dates back to 1935 when the city of Paris issued public tenders in preparation for the 24th Universal Exposition of 1937. Over 12,000 chairs and armchairs were produced to furnish more than a hundred hectares of public gardens. At the dawn of its 90 years, the T37 chair is reissued and complement- ed by new creations imagined by Studio Tolix. First designed in 1937 by Xavier Pauchard.
