Designed by Florence Knoll, one of the most influential figures in the 20th-century American design, the piece reflects her signature philosophy of creating furniture that is both functional and visually balanced. Inspired by the clean lines of modern architecture, her designs are celebrated for their simplicity, proportion and enduring sophistication.

This particular sideboard is executed in black wood veneer paired with a striking black marble top. This creates an excellent contrast between texture and material. The marble top features a refined square-edge detail and is protected with a transparent polyester coating, while the wooden elements are finished in transparent polyurethane. The base consists of welded square steel tubing in a black polished chrome finish, giving the piece a visually light appearance. Elegant black polished aluminium pulls and door hinges further enhance the minimalist aesthetic.

The interior configuration includes three internal drawers with soft-close, a large compartment and a smaller compartment with adjustable shelvings. This offers a generous and practical storage within a clean, balanced composition. .

This sideboard is in very good condition, showing only minimal signs of use consistent with careful ownership.
