Amongst all the famous pieces such as Busoni's Chaconne, Liszt's Fantasy and Fugue on a Theme of B-A-C-H, Poulenc's Waltz Improvisation on the Name of BACH, and Ysaÿe's Sonata No. 2 for Solo Violin, a work by composer Damien Scholl, born in 1988, is a rare 2013 work. Zamira Spiegel is a pianist and violinist, highly regarded in both. On this CD, she plays piano in the Busoni, Liszt, and Poulenc pieces, and violin in the Scholl, Ysaye, and Bach pieces, both of which she plays with great skill. Tobu Land System
