Kono Hawaii stood on South Harbor Boulevard in Santa Ana, a tiki bar born from the Polynesian craze sweeping Southern California in the 1960s. Places like this transported suburban families to an imagined tropical paradise, one mai tai at a time. Long before craft cocktails, these restaurants carried a culture's longing for somewhere warm and far away. Part of our Vintage Tiki collection, celebrating the defunct golden era bars of yesteryear.
