Dupont-Fahn "Les Charmes" Puligny-Montrachet 2020Les Charmes is located just over the border from Meursault in the fabled Puligny Montrachet appellation. It sits just below Les Referts, a sought after 1er Cru. Because it is located at the bottom of the slope, there is more clay in the soil, and actually renders a slightly more plump wine than the Meursault (contrary to the typical assumptions about the two villages). We almost never see Puligny under $100 a bottle these days, let alone a great one.
