The volcanoes of the Pacific Norwest offer a unique ski resort experience compared to other areas, and even among its peers, Mount Bachelor stands out. Just for starters, at over 4,000 skiable acres, Mt. Bachelor is the 6th largest ski resort in the US. And every run at Bachelor feels special. From the summit, there are 360° of skiing available, with long runs funneling back to traverses that return you to other lifts or the base area. And that skiing is varied. From the summit, you can ski steep, wide slopes with cornices and an alpine feel, but drop a ways, and you’ll find yourself in some of the best tree skiing in the Pacific Northwest with wind lips, side hits, and powder slashes aplenty.
