Alex Knost is arguably one of the best surfers to come out of the Costa Mesa/Newport area; however, his talents extend much further out into the realms of music and art. Knost's approach is very unique which he pairs nicely with boards that he builds himself. This model is derived from 1970's style, down rail, pin tail with extremely boxy and hard edged rails that hold their edge and volume through most of the board. The nose is beaked and pushes a lot of foam forward while the tail is aggressive and narrow.
