The 88 also sees a new construction overhaul, featuring more sidecut and ash wood inserts underfoot for a damper downhill experience and more efficient powder transfer from binding to ski. The all new Trueblend wood core allows the ski to maintain its stiff backbone, while the lack of carbon results in better performance in more variable conditions. That being said this years crop of skis are not as stiff as their predecessors. A new tip notch gives users the option to utilize a skimo style skin, making transitions a breeze.
