'Tis the Season...

Winter Solstice! The shortest day of the year marking the end of the year in which the old is ushered out and a rebirth begins.

In this pendant, an ornate crescent moon cradles three burning candles lit for the season; their warm glow lighting up the unfurling frost and the silent snow as they burn atop an offering of balsam, juniper and silver bauble. Below the moon, a resting broom and Poinsettia flower proudly blooms. Below this altar you'll find a large dagger of moss agate in all the traditional colors of the season: the greenary of holly in which the fae take shelter and the red of the Yule Goat's ribbons. This stone's coloring is all natural!

Handcrafted out of Fine Silver (.999), Sterling Silver (.925), this piece has been given a dark patina and then given a heavy satin, bright brushed satin finish mixed with high polishes. Approximately 3" x 1.75" at longest and widest points! A hefty piece, this is strung on a thick 18" chain with lobster clasp as shown above and weighs approximately two ounces. The chain has also been blackened and given a pattern that sparkles and dances in the light just like the sparkling of the reborn light on fresh snow.
