For sale here is a very rare Orvis Presentation Rod Set also known as the "Rocky Mountain Twin Set". The set includes one fly rod and one spinning rod. The fly rod is 6'6" 3/2 5wt. Serial no. 57536. The spinning rod is also 6'6" 3/1 for 1/16-1/4 oz. lures. Serial no. 56925. The rods were both made in 1970 by Ron White. Both are in near mint unfished condition, with only the slightest evidence of handling. 

The rods have beautiful moderately tempered impregnated cane with chestnut wraps and bright guides. The fly rod has a 5 1/2" cigar grip with a bright aluminum down-locking reel seat over a walnut spacer. The ferrules are size 9/64 and 12/64 with an excellent fit. The rod weighs 3.30 oz. with a smooth medium-fast action for a 5wt though marked for a 6wt. There is small chip or two in the bluing on the female ferrule. 

The spinning rod features a 10" grip with dual aluminum ring reel seat. The rod weighs 3.60 oz. 

The rods are housed in a handsome mahogany box with brass fittings and a green felt lining. Though the box shows light wear on the exterior it is in excellent condition. The original keys and manuals are included with the set. The previous owner had custom bags and tubes made for the set by Landmark Components in Loveland, Colorado. 

This set is rarely seen complete and unused, you may not find another like it in a very long time. Don't miss out!
