VFLAM Flail Mower Side Shift  - Medium Duty

The quality robust construction of the VFLAM series medium duty flail / mulcher mowers with manual side shift makes it stand out from its competitors. Special reinforced angular gearbox, heavy drive shaft and hammer blades with rear open bonnet are just some of the outstanding features.

Manual side shift means you don't need rear hydraulic remotes to side shift / offset the mower. A simple and easy to use manual handle to position the mower exactly where you want it.

The VFLAM  flail / mulcher series is well suited to compact tractors ranging from 18hp to 60hp. The VFLAM  Flail / Mulcher series is available in 3 sizes :  1250mm, 1550mm and 1750mm.

The Modern design and technology of a flail / mulcher is fast replacing the old traditional Slasher. The safety is also improved with a flail / mulcher as all pasture is cut inside the main body and only discharged as finer less dangerous clippings.

All VFLAM flail / mulcher series are driven using a supplied P.T.O shaft via the tractors rear mounted Power Take Off ( PTO ) being offset to the right hand side of the tractor allows the mulcher / mower to easily cut close to fence lines or under trees. 

Due to the open rear bonnet, maintenance work or changing hammer blades is easy accessible.   Please be informed that the bonnet has to be closed while operating.

This mower unit has the most heavy-duty gearbox in its class. Unlike mower units equipped with light Y blades, this mower has high inertia generated by the heavy hammer blades and heavy shaft. This allows the VFLAM series to perform better.

The specially hardened, 0.8 kg hammer blades, which are arranged on a double spiral drive shaft, shred clippings to a minimum size. Even very high grass, bushy or straw-like clippings are no problem for this mower!
 

The mulcher additionally has a trailing roller and a freewheel gearbox. The cutting height can be set with the adjustable roller and side mounted skids. The suspended, galvanised safety covers at the front of the mower unit prevents stones or other foreign objects escaping.

Note:

The mower unit is delivered in a steel crate. The gearbox is dry and must be filled with oil (80W90, approx. 1 litre) PTO shaft to be greased prior to use.
