The BD Vacutainer® tubes for blood group determination are provided with the anticoagulant ACD (Acid Citrate Dextrose/Glucose), which is used to preserve the red blood cells. They are available in different mixing ratios, either with solution A or B, and have been specially designed for blood group determination.
