This beautiful two piece set consists of an easy fitting button front top and a swingy flat pleated skirt. From the time period around debuting his infamous Russian collection, Yves took fine wools and simple designs and then added romantic, feminine elements - here he takes the design to an abstract design on the soft wool challis base. The fabric is a silk and wool mix and the way it feels on, moves and drapes is incredible. The top is box cut and loose with buttons down the front that you can leave open as low as you dare or close completely to create a high, more severe neckline.The skirt is classic YSL with a fitted waist and upper hip. It flows over the hips and just past the knee. Excellent, appears unworn condition

Both pieces are unlined. The top buttons down the front and has a button on each cuff. The skirt closes with a side painted metal zipper and a large flat hook & eye inside the waist band. Both are tagged a vintage YSL 40 but please go by actual measurements
