This is an early 20th century mahogany boot jack - possibly a piece of officer's campaign equipment.
It is made of red brown wood.
It has two brass hinges and two short wooden feet.
The wood has some small scratches from use.
There are four carved recesses, two of which hold folding steel boot pulls.
One boot pull has a button hook on its end (the tip of this has broken off and the other pull has a punch or lace threader.
The remaining two recesses hold a pair of black japanned spurs with small rowels. These would slot into boot heels
