The GFB STi 6-Speed Short Shift Kit is designed for Subaru’s late-model 6-speed STi gearbox, starting from MY02. This kit features a unique clamp system that allows for a significantly reduced shift throw, offering a much shorter throw than just replacing the gearstick alone. The GFB shifter can reduce the factory 40mm throw per gate to as little as 22mm, which is considerably shorter than most aftermarket shifters that only reduce the throw to about 30mm.

Installation is simple and can be completed within 20 minutes using the provided special tool for the reverse lock-out cable pin. The kit’s design ensures a more precise, race-inspired feel without requiring any modifications to the surrounding linkages or bodywork.
