At Thomas Greene Park, I sat and drew a large tree rising from its brick circle. Nearby, a man rested at a bench, head bent, caught in his own stillness. The park was noisy all around, but this corner held its own pause.
The drawing became about presence—the weight of a tree anchoring the space, the quiet of a single figure beneath it. In the middle of a transforming neighborhood, a moment of human and natural endurance.
