Cosmo Hidamari Sashiko Cloths are cotton-linen blend fabrics in traditional Japanese colors, with guides for sashiko stitching pre-printed on each piece. The guidelines disappear with a gentle wash, so it's easy to make it look like they were never there.

Each Hidamari Sashiko Cloth comes with one long piece of fabric that has both pieces needed to make a finished 30 cm square (one piece has the sashiko design; the other piece is sewn onto the back to hide the reverse of the embroidery work and finish the cloth.) Instructions are included in Japanese only (but the diagrams make it pretty easy to follow for English speakers.)

When you're done, you can use your sashiko cloth for lots of little projects — use it as one side of a throw pillow, for example, or wrap a gift with your handmade cloth.
