Parasitic Jaegar, signed giclee reproduction from an original hand-pulled woodblock print by Putnam County artist, M.Rees (image size, 12x18"). This image was commissioned by the Indiana Audubon Society to help fund waterbird research on Lake Michigan.
The typically artic Parasitic Jaegar migrates south into Indiana territory for part of the year. Jaegars are incredibly fast moving, tough and aggressive birds that torment food away from other bully birds like sea gulls. Their aerial acrobatics are amazing to watch. It is truly pirates stealing from pirates. In the background of this image is the Sturgeon Bay Canal North Pierhead Light on the western side of Lake Michigan.
