In the foreground of this captivating piece, a fox is seen blowing a soap bubble that forms the shape of the world. The background is filled with symbols of earthly deception: a woman looking into a mirror, a jester gazing at the moon through a mirror, a painter depicting an angel as a devil, and a chameleon. The print features a Latin inscription: 'Fallacus speculi cauesis te ludat imago: non aurum est, quidquid bractea fulua tegit'. At the bottom, there's a legend of the scenes depicted in the image, each marked with an alphabetical number. This print belongs to a series of twelve (II out of XII prints) themed around twelve mirrors through which humans attempt to see God.
