Seward Stomacher® lab blenders provide reproducible sample homogenisation in pathogen test procedures within both traditional microbiology and PCR-based, analysis techniques.

They use a sealed plastic bag to contain the sample and two reciprocating paddles which apply controlled pressure on the bag. There is no contact between the sample and the machinery. Blending is rapid and takes approximately 30 seconds per sample. The blending action minimises any damage to microbial cells and is very quiet in operation. The 400 Circulator model additionally has an enhanced paddle design and utilises round bottom bags giving improved processing efficiency and is also supplied with spare paddle connectors and 1000 bags.
