A classic shape, this black velvet mid century opera coat neatly custom tailored with swing back/flared cut and wide sleeves, it fastens if desired with a simple tie to neckline - but can be happily worn open and as such fits a variety of sizes.

The collar and front edges are slightly stiffened so as to allow the wearer to style them as desired. Internally it has been lined a good quality ivory satin. 

I do tend to avoid black coats unless they’ve a particularly good cut, as they’re so hard to photograph well. This looks so much better on a person than my mannequin!

Shoulder seam to seam at back just under 16”

Condition: 

Only noted flaw is some age marks left by a hangers in the upper shoulder lining - only visible if you turn it inside out! Please see photo. Useful and wearable.
