This is a really beautifully made dress in Indian silk, with full length balloon sleeves. Label is Anne of India, which looks quite commercial rather than small scale seamstress. I wonder if it was made for export to western boutiques, as much was at the time. It has a 1960s look to the bodice but nylon cb zip and sleeve shape make me think 70s.
It’s a little too big for my mannequin and I’ve only loosely clipped the bodice to shape, so I think on the right person it would be more fitted in the bodice and waist. The sleeves are elasticated at the cuff and nicely ballooned.
The body of the dress is lined aside from the sleeves, so no need for a slip.. but still seems quite floaty as loose lined in the skirt.

Excellent bar a small flaw to the skirt lining - which I wonder has been there since manufacture, and unseen of course when worn.
