Carbon fiber hoods are significantly lighter than OEM steel, which can affect latch engagement and hood flutter at highway speeds. Hood pins secure the panel independently of the factory latch, ensuring stability and preventing lift during hard acceleration or high-speed driving.

Will this hood fit my factory latch and hinge setup?

Yes. The panel is designed with OEM-compatible mounting geometry. Your existing latches, hinges, and attachment points will function without modification. Verify hinge condition before installation — worn hinges may need attention regardless of which hood you install.

Does carbon fiber require special finishing or care?
