Vintage 1940s crepe maxi gown in a dark robin's egg blue.  Beautiful ruching detail at the front waist, dolman sleeve, and flattering tailoring throughout.

Condition

Wounded to fair, with some visible flaws to note.  There is some light color fade across the shoulders and even fainter fade on the front of the skirt (see images).  There is also some faint armpit discoloration (see image).  There was also some color bleed that appears as stains at the waistband, two tiny ones at the side of the bodice, and one at the neckline (see images).  A more prominent one is at the side waistband (see image).  There are some tiny holes on the back neck area (see image).

Lastly, the dress was previously altered by taking in the shoulders and the sides.  I have removed the alterations, but there are some leftover needle holes (see images).  This dress would be best suited as an evening gown, as the flaws would not be very prominent in low-light situations!  The price has been adjusted to account for the flaws.
