Antique, late Victorian "seal plush" coat made from cotton velvet.  Full length with puffed sleeves, jumbo plush-covered buttons and thick quilted lining for ultimate warmth.

Lots of little details, like a split down the back center that can be buttoned open or closed, gored back, and a delicate triangular pocket inside of the lining. Even the sleeve cuffs have a tiny dust ruffle on the inner edge to prevent wear to the cuff edge.

*Note: the lining is very thick, give yourself min 2 inches of extra room to accommodate.  It fit snugly on a dress form with a 34" bust and 27" waist (consider your clothing layer too).

Condition

Very good, with some flaws to note.  The most notable is several discoloration spots along the back hemline (see images).

The bottom button is missing and left a small indentation in the plush (see images).  There are a couple tiny tears on the tops of 2 plush-covered buttons (see images).

There is a missing button (not visible) on the interior of the coat at the top of the optional vent opening in the back of the coat - does not affect functionality since all the other interior buttons are intact.  There is a small tear in the plush in the back of the coat (see image).

The lining is in excellent shape for its age - just a tiny tear under the tag, and some wear spots on the hemline (see images).
