CC41 utility labelled Kay Sidney zip fronted rayon crepe house dress, in pretty cottage garden print on an off white ground.

Looks to have been slightly altered over time with machined hem, but still a good wearable length.

Typical of the period with corselet waistband. Possibly later 40s utility, with the use of elastic and generous skirt.

Features original front fastening  3/4 metal lightning zip, elasticated details to top of patch pockets and cuffs. Piped Peter Pan style collar, and puffed sleeves echo the patch pocket trim. Lightly padded shoulders.

The (very faded and curled) utility label was hanging by a single thread in the side seam, so I’ve restitched it in the same spot - I promise it was there to start with!

It looks to have been altered slightly over the years, hemline possible shortened, waistline possibly adjusted but all works fine as is. There are dye spots to front look like speckled misprint - see photo. Small hole back bodice as shown, light wear, vertical worn spot to shoulder hidden in print so decided best left. Handwashed and ready to wear as is.
