Calling all puff sleeve lovers!! And while we are at it....calling all 1950's MCM fashion lovers!! We hate to be dramatic, but this piece is something to behold. It was hand made in the 1950's by a small, high end Italian boutique called "Fashioned by Betty Bardovi". It is an entirely hand made & custom one of a kind piece. The body of the cardigan was made with skilled needlework into an illusion detail texture. But the star of this piece is the puff sleeves. Not only are they large & voluminous, but the top portion of this cardigan has metallic gold and silver woven into the black base. The black is 100% wool but the metallic threads are not. The sleeves have a long ribbed trim just below the puff, giving a nice flattering shape. There is a metallic gold and silver border that finished the neckline and center front. The buttons are gorgeous and slip snuggly into the hand made loops within the knit CF edge. The hem of the body is finished in a nice thick ribbing. This piece offers symmetry without monotony and gives glamour to a traditionally simple silhouette...the cardigan. It is medium-heavy in weight and will keep you nice and warm.
