This book features projects designed for the 15 cm “wawa-chan” plush body. Shorter designs can also fit the 11 cm body size (for an especially cute oversized look!). It can also be adapted for other plush bodies—if the head size differs by about ±1 cm, the same patterns and materials can still be used. Adjust the final shaping process according to your own plush.

The main material used is wool. Soft wool is shaped into felt using two methods:

Wet Felting

Wool is soaked in warm water mixed with liquid soap, then pressed and rubbed to create felt. This book uses templates so even beginners can easily form shapes.

Needle Felting

A special needle is used to repeatedly poke the wool to felt it. In this book, this technique is used to add patterns to headpieces and to create parts such as ears.
