Wonderful c.1930s wide brimmed raffia hat with shallow crown, trimmed with large velvet daisies and a very shiny glacé ribbon. The flexible crown is decorated with a soutache type glacé design, all in excellent order. It’s really very elegant, and a great spring/summer hat!

The colour is a very dark blue, to my eyes.

Only real issue is missing elastic as original had perished. I had left the ends in place so I could mark it’s position correctly, and will replace like for like with a new elastic, ready to wear.

Measures: 

Inner circ 21.5” approx (doesn’t need to be fitted brim, so fairly flexible sizing) 

brim approx 5” deep

Condition: Very good to Excellent, will replace elastic as mentioned above. There are tiny breaks in the fine jet beneath the swirled crown but you don’t see this unless you look very closely. Ready to wear.
