I purchased this from the granddaughter of the original owner, who was herself now downsizing to be near children and grandchildren.

She had cared for it very well, and it’s a lovely shawl, with both sides of the embroidery equally beautiful. The design is in one of the two triangles that make up a square, so when worn doubled over all of the pattern can be seen. 

Measures: 

Body of shawl 46” square, with crocheted surround of 5” and additional 12” of fringe. (So 63” square in total)

Condition: 

 Very good. Minor discolouration time one spot of embroidery, one small area missing a securing thread, and the odd very minor straggle. Have not washed but appears clean with no odours or damage.
