A fabulous design and a rare find, this vintage coat is from Richard Healy Furriers (later Richard Healy department stores) and features a wide notched collar made in black persian lamb. The coat is fitted at the waist, has long sleeves with wide cuffs, hip pockets with asymmetrical flaps, double breasted style buttons, and a demi belt that creates a wonderful, full "skirt" on the back of the coat. Fully lined in what looks like brown rayon. We are dating the coat to the 1940s based on its style and by the presence of a label from the Coat and Suit Industry National Recovery Board which was was a trade organization that came about in order to assure that garments were made in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards. This label was present from the mid-1930s into the 1960s. Heavy weight afftect shipping cost.

No size label is present, but we believe this coat will fits in the size 6 range, allowing for a little extra room for wearing other clothing underneath. But please refer to the measurements below for additional guidance regarding size, and measure something that already fits you for comparison.

CONDTION

Very good condition overall with no structural issues. The wool fabric shows some minor balding at folds like the cuffs and pocket flaps and a few (very few, actually) tiny insect nibbles that are very inconspicuous. The persian lamb collar is pliable without balding and has a faint storage odor (this should dissipate now that it's no longer in storage). Lining is faded in an area below the label inside the coat. For a wool coat of this age, it is in exceptionally good condition.
