A very pretty 1920s evening bag with faux ivory frame decorated with coloured flower design, and black knitted tasseled body. 

It’s in very good condition externally. The flowers to the front of the frame is more colourful than the back. 

The clasp works well, and the handle, frame and bag itself are all undamaged. There are matched lines in the frame where it attaches to the chain handle, which I believe are part of the manufacturing process.

The bag is a silky knit. Originally (and mainly still!) black, there is some very faint dye variation to brown - more evident in the fringe where it’s a little fluffier. Please see photos.

Internally it is lined in pink glazed cotton. The stitching is visible so it may just be missing the internal trim which would hide this. 

Overall it’s a nice example of an early 20c evening bag. Please study all of the photos, and feel free to ask any questions! I do have more bags and purses from my own collection listed.
