This lovely set was inspired by the workbaskets made in the 1950's with recycled Christmas and birthday cards, that were cut to shape and laced together with crochet to form a hexagonal box. A lid was often made and hinged to the back of the workbasket.
Designed by Kate for the Stitcher's Dream Day Out, this project features a workbasket with a pincushion inside the lid, a needle book, pin keep, and scissors fob, all with embroidery.
The workbasket is 7" across, 4" high, and 21" round. The Needle book is 7 1/2" x 8 1/2"
