Description:
Hakkinen & Helsinki Baroque's Bach Volume 4! Cembalo Concerto Collection for 3 & 4 Harpsichords! Aapo Hakkinen, a world-class harpsichordist from Nordic Finland, and the Helsinki Baroque Orchestra, which has established a reputation as one of the best period orchestras in Northern Europe. Their performances are full of freshness and transparency, and have won the recommendation of the German online magazine KLASSIK.COM (Empfohlen von Klassik.com) for their first and second collections, and the French Diapason d'Or for their third collection with Piel Antai, J.S. The fourth and final volume is a collection of J.S. Bach's concertos. The fourth and final volume features concertos for three and four harpsichords, performed with Hakkinen's experienced colleagues, including Miklós Špányi of Hungary, Cristiano Holz of Brazil, and Anna-Maria Oramo of Finland. The series has previously coupled works by W.H. Bach and others, and now includes a lovely clavichord duet by Johann Gottfried Mutel (1728-1788), a pupil of Bach.Of course, Aeolus is also proud of its hybrid multi-channel high quality SACD recordings.
