Vintage box pleated late 1950s novelty print skirt - ‘Music Hall’ by British stalwart Sportaville.
Label reads ‘A Sportaville Model, Tailored in London’, and the name of the design is visible in the hem ‘Music Hall by Sportaville’.
Polished cotton, lovely and soft. Waistband is fabulous, a colourful musical score to match the printed sheet music covers decorating the skirt!
Metal zip, button fastening looks original but has been moved across a little (to aid comfort I assume!)
Measures:
Waist 27”, could reduce to 26” if you move the button back across.
Hips free (dirndl shape)
Length including 1” waistband 26”
Condition:
Couple of small marks I only spotted when steaming as they are hidden in the inverted pleats. I’d only hand washed, and hadn’t noticed them so haven’t tried to spot treat - may lessen but if not are hidden anyway. Couple of other minor and faint marks and very slight discolouration to inside waistband - but generally good, and ready to wear!
