1920s dress with heavily beaded decoration. Hand made in France’ label to one shoulder. 

Selling as is due to condition - see below.

Shown unclipped on a UK8, weight of hem means it drapes well.

Condition: 

Very pretty, but sadly imperfect so selling as it is. Overall integrity of the fabric is reasonable, but there a number of small holes and stress spots to the silk -  have photographed all I saw. It may even be an idea to use the dress as a pattern and move the beadwork into a new base. It is displayable/workable as is but I don’t know how much dancing it could stand!

Shoulders have been taken up to solve a split in the fabric. Plenty of beads still in there if you need a match!

The overall majority of beadwork appears intact and secure. The beaded border design is asymmetric with snaps to fasten to one side (top one is loose) - slightly cocoon shape (see photo of internal hem line laid flat for shape)

The very top of beadwork panel requires a securing stitch. 

Some discolouration to fabric, very slight yellowing to one underarm area more than the other.
