Ueno Kouhei
Description:
Since his impressive debut in 2014 with his first album "Tell Adolph," Kohei Ueno has been remarkably active not only in the saxophone world, but also in the wind band and classical music worlds, and his third album is a collection of J.S. Bach's unaccompanied works. Kohei Ueno, who lives in the modern age, breathes life into Bach's music with a saxophone that did not exist when the "father of music" Bach was alive. The recording was made at St. Peter and Paul Church (built between 1517 and 1527) in the town of Messingen, Germany. The local recording engineer did a lot of research to find a sound suitable for unaccompanied music, and as a result, he found this church instead of a major church. Although the church has been reconstructed, it has been rooted in the town since before Bach was born, and we are confronted with Bach's music with each breath of our own.
